Spring Bar-B-Q

A few regulars joined us for our Friday afternoon Spring Bar-B. It was good to take the time to have a relax after what has been a busy time for the management team. We;ll have more of these in the future and again make everyone welcome.

Sailors with disABILITIES

Kayle came in last week. She's part of the Sailors with disABILITIES program. Sailors with disABILITIES is committed to changing society's perception of people with disabilities. Harbour sailing, ocean racing, the youth program and the inshore and coastal training program are just some of the ways of achieving this. We donated a weeks free berthing to help the cause. Visit their website for more information - click here

The Dredge is inside the Marina!

All this week we are moving boats carefully as the Department of Lands dredges the sand buildup from inside the marina. No longer will there be restircited use due to shallow water. The outer harbour, and the entrance to the Marina have been derdged making safer passage for vessels. We had a race yacht come in on the mid tide on Saturday drawing 3.7 metres without any troubles.

Prawns are in Season

There is a run of prawns on at the moment, so those beauties you see to the right were retailing for $12 a kilo and are absolutely delicious.  The marina is the best place to get fresh local prawns at the best price.

Bertram Delivery

Here is a brand new bertram being delivered earlier this month.  Good to be the new owner, good to even be the delivery guys!

Just a few things happening around the Marina lately. We hope to see you around too!

Cheers Matt and Elise
